Artie Clark Joins Home Loan Bank’s Methuen Mortgage Team

Warwick, R.I., October 24, 2018 - Artie Clark has joined Home Loan Investment Bank’s Methuen, Mass., mortgage lending team as Senior Loan Officer.

“I’m pleased to welcome Artie to Home Loan Investment Bank,” said Brian Murphy, Chairman and CEO. “His many years of experience and community connections will help us develop new business in Boston’s Metro North area.”

Clark brings more than 30 years of experience in the mortgage lending industry to the position and joins Home Loan from Supreme Lending, LLC. From 1993 until 2007, he was a district manager for AccuBank/National City Mortgage in Burlington, Mass. He has also worked for Salem Five Mortgage Company, Franklin American Mortgage and Pacific Union, LLC. Clark, a resident of Woburn, serves his local community as a volunteer drug and alcohol addiction counselor for Grace Chapel.

Home Loan Promotes Jarred Burrell to VP, Commercial Lending, Ocean Capital

Jarred Burrell has been promoted to Vice President, Commercial Lending for Ocean Capital, the commercial lending division of Home Loan Investment Bank. In this new role, he oversees all aspects of loan origination, loan servicing and collections.

“Jarred is a rising star at Home Loan,” said Brian Murphy, Chairman and CEO. “From the start, his business acumen, work ethic and passion for the business have been factors in Ocean Capital’s success. I’m confident that he is the right person to run our commercial lending business, and I look forward to seeing the division grow under his leadership.”
Burrell joined Ocean Capital in 2011 as a Loan Analyst. Over the next seven years he moved quickly through the organization, with promotions to Portfolio Analyst, Credit Analyst/Underwriter, and most recently, Commercial Lending Manager.

A resident of Warwick, R.I., Burrell graduated from Springfield College with a B.S. in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance. In 2014 he earned Certified Commercial Loan Officer designation from the ICBA Commercial Lending Institute.

Home Loan Investment Bank Delivers Donations To Operation Stand Down Rhode Island’s Veteran Food Pantry

Warwick, R.I., September 11, 2018 -The shelves in Operation Stand Down Rhode Island’s Veteran Food Pantry are a bit more bountiful, thanks to an employee food drive held by Home Loan Investment Bank (HLIB). On September 10, HLIB delivered a van load of donated food to the OSDRI food pantry at 1010 Hartford Avenue in Johnston.

“When we learned that supplies were running low in Operation Stand Down’s food pantry, Home Loan employees eagerly answered the call,” said Brian Murphy, Chairman and CEO. “We are grateful for the service and dedication of our veterans and it is an honor to give back through service and support.”

Paul Carter Joins Home Loan Bank’s MA Mortgage Team

Warwick, R.I., August 3, 2018 - – Paul Carter has joined Home Loan Investment Bank’s Massachusetts mortgage lending team as Senior Loan Officer, covering the greater Boston area.

“I’m delighted to welcome Paul to Home Loan Investment Bank,” said Brian Murphy, Chairman and CEO. “He will be working closely with Steven Vo, our new Massachusetts Area Branch Manager, to develop our business in the greater Braintree area.”

Carter brings nearly 20 years of experience in the mortgage lending industry to the position. He most recently worked for Flagstar Bank, where he had been a senior loan officer. Over the course of his career, Paul has worked for various financial institutions in greater Boston, including Citizens Bank in Hudson, Peoples United Bank in Marlborough, and Wells Fargo in Franklin. He resides with his wife, Kelly, in Milford, Mass.

Steven Vo Joins Home Loan Bank’s MA Mortgage Team

Warwick, R.I., July 23, 2018 - Steven Vo has joined Home Loan Investment Bank’s mortgage lending team as Massachusetts Area Branch Manager, covering the greater Boston area. He will be responsible for loan production and building a mortgage team to serve the greater Braintree area.

Vo brings more than 25 years of experience in the mortgage lending industry to the position. , He most recently worked for Flagstar Bank, where he had been Assistant Vice President, Market Manager, covering Massachusetts. He is a member of the Mass Mortgage Bankers Association and the National Association of Mortgage Bakers. He and his family live in Stoughton, Mass.

Home Loan Bank Hires Communications Director and VP Residential Lending

Warwick, R.I., July 20, 2018 –Home Loan Investment Bank named two new employees to the company’s leadership team, reporting to Chairman and CEO Brian Murphy:
Connie Viera, Vice President, Residential Lending: Viera is responsible for the bank’s mortgage origination process, from application to funding, including oversight of the underwriting, loan processing and closing/post-closing team. She brings 30 years of mortgage industry experience and most recently worked for Stearns Lending, LLC as a regional vice president and consultant. A resident of North Kingstown, R.I., she is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in economics.

Brenda Greene, Communications Director: Greene manages the bank’s internal and external communications, community relations, and marketing programs. She brings more than 15 years of communications experience in the banking industry, including 12 at Webster Bank, where she was vice president, corporate communications. Greene has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism from the University of Rhode Island and Regent University, respectively. A resident of Hopkinton, R.I., she is a member of The Chorus of Westerly.
