Brian J. Murphy - Chairman of the Board & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Murphy graduated from Brown University in 1997 with a Double Concentration in Business Economics and Organizational Behavior & Management. Mr. Murphy worked on Wall Street for three years as a financial analyst in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) for Oppenheimer & Company and later CIBC World Markets specializing in Bank M&A, IPOs, hybrid securities structures as well as traditional debt and equity offerings. Mr. Murphy received his MBA from Yale School of Management in 2003 with a Concentration in Finance. Upon graduation from Yale, Mr. Murphy began working at Home Loan Investment Bank, FSB as Vice President of Finance in May 2003. On January 1, 2008, Mr. Murphy was promoted to President of the Bank. Mr. Murphy has served as a Director for Home Loan since January 1, 2002 and has been a Senior Executive Officer for the Bank since May 1, 2003. On October 15, 2012, Mr. Murphy became CEO of the bank and actively participates on the following committees: BSA, Compliance, Asset Liability Management, Deposit Pricing, Liquidity, IT Steering, Asset Quality and Loan Review, Commercial Credit, as well as the Audit Committee. As a senior executive of Home Loan, Mr. Murphy is actively involved in the strategic planning, budgeting and long-range planning of the Bank. Mr. Murphy is closely involved in running the day-to-day operations of the Bank often collaborating with department heads as well as senior management to help the Bank achieve its goals and objectives. Mr. Murphy has served on the Board of Directors of Rhode Island Bankers Association since January 2008 and will be appointed President in September 2017. In January 2013, Mr. Murphy was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Rhode Island Business Development Company. In September 2013, Mr. Murphy was appointed to American Bankers Association’s Community Bankers Council joining 100 other community bank CEOs to advocate on behalf of community banks nationwide on federal legislative and regulatory issues. In 2017, Mr. Murphy was elected to the Board of Directors of Phoenix Houses of New England.

Eric B. Rose - Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer

Prior to joining the Bank in 2011, Mr. Rose served as Senior Vice President, Director of Banking Services at Admirals (Formally Domestic) Bank. Mr. Rose was responsible for the management of Deposit Operations, Core Banking Technologies, Deposit Collections, and Corporate Services. During his 8-year tenure at Admirals (Domestic), Mr. Rose served in various other roles including the management of Loan Servicing and the Call Center. Mr. Rose also held the position of Information Security Officer and worked in the Information Technology and Accounting departments during his tenure at Domestic Bank.

Mr. Rose holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Management and Technology from Syracuse University and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Rhode Island.

Jonathan T. Barrett - Chief Information Officer

Mr. Barrett graduated from the University of Rhode Island with his degree in Management Science and Information Systems. With over 20 years of financial services industry experience in information technology, marketing and operations, his initiatives include improving service delivery with the effective and efficient use of technology; promoting online & mobile development to increase self-service capabilities; and leading initiatives to ensure the technology department is flexible, adaptable and responsive.

Mr. Barrett joined the executive management team at Home Loan Investment Bank in September 2016 as Chief Information Officer (CIO), providing strategic oversight and management for all information technology and marketing activities. His focus is setting IT direction that coordinates infrastructure and service delivery across the bank while overseeing all print and digital marketing efforts. He is responsible for teams and vendors supporting enterprise applications, enterprise data, end user and technology support, infrastructure, communications, and compliance with information security and marketing standards.

Prior to joining Home Loan, Jonathan worked for Andera, a fintech solutions provider, before accepting the role as Director of Systems Services and then as a Senior Manager in the Digital Strategy group at Citizens Bank.

Michael Holahan - Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Holahan began his career at Home Loan in 1986 in the Underwriting Department. Mr. Holahan served as an underwriter for three years before moving to Accounting in 1989. In 1994, Mr. Holahan was promoted from Senior Accountant to Department Supervisor. In March 2004 Mr. Holahan was promoted to Controller and served in that position until leaving the bank in June 2011. In September of 2012 Mr. Holahan returned to the finance department at Home Loan after having been employed with the city of Cranston. In January 2017 became part of the executive management team as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Holahan is a graduate of Bryant College in Smithfield, Rhode Island.
