LOAN OFFICER

Home Loan is currently looking for Loan Officers to work in our Warwick, Rhode Island headquarters.

Position Responsibilities:

• Advise potential and existing bank customers as to different loan programs currently being offered
• Evaluate customer credit and financial needs and match these needs with loan products
• Act as liaison between customers, attorneys, and other interested third parties
• Assign the appropriate rate and fee structure to match the degree of risk with bank profitability
• Act in a socially responsible manner towards all applicants; be mindful of the principles of fair lending; make every attempt to extend credit to borrowers in a just and safe manner

• College graduate

Training:

We take pride in the comprehensive training we offer our employees. All new Home Loan Loan Officers are required to complete our training program to ensure that all of our Loan Officers are knowledgeable about our processes and proper industry standards, and so they can achieve their full potential in this challenging environment. Topics covered include: credit analysis, mortgage underwriting, legal and income review, appraisal analysis, and title review.

Upon completion of the training program, Loan Officers become responsible for overseeing the entire home equity/mortgage loan process for customers. Loan Officers make proposals directly to our customers, coordinate the collection of all relevant documentation, work together with the underwriting department to insure timely processing of the loan, and work with title companies and attorneys to finalize the paperwork.
